It Started With a Kick Episode 81 : Tim Lee

Tim is based in Spain as a producer and commentator on La Liga matches plus Spanish internationals across various tournaments, which must be one of the plum jobs on the commentary circuit. Not only is his professional career at a zenith but Tim is also a Palace fan so is living the dream in many ways. But his opening match was not in Spain or at the South London Camp Nou, aka Sehurst Park but at a ground that no longer exists, the iconic Griffin Park in 1992 when Brentford got stuffed by Stoke City.

His first Palace game was a 3-1 win over Ipswich featuring some of his favourite players such as Nigel Martyn, Gareth Southgate, John Salako and Chris Armstrong. Chris also suffered Palace’s relegation in 1992/93 season listening on the radio as they lost 3-0 to Arsenal and crying his eyes out. One of his trickiest interviews as a journalist was with Claudio Bravo after Chile has just been knocked out of 2014 World Cup on penalties to hosts Brazil.
