It Started With a Kick Episode 109 : Jim Daly
Jim Daly is the third comedian in a row to appear on this podcast. He is currently on tour and is appearing on home turf this coming Saturday at Chesham cricket club and I have been reliably informed there are a few tickets left. Jim has also been one of the mainstays of the Five Year Plan podcast which shines a light on by far the greatest team this world has ever seen – Crystal Palace FC. So appropriately enough Jim’s first entry into a football stadium was Selhurst Park on New Years Day 1992 for a clash with Notts County, with his dad who he still goes with to most games.

We discuss Palace’s various exploits in the Play-Offs including the agony of the defeat to Leicester in 1996 and the ecstasy of 1997 courtesy of Hopkin looking to curl one. In 2013 it was the certainty that Kevin Phillips would score against his old club Watford and talking about Wembley triumphs, we do cover the 2025 FA Cup Final and the subsequent European tour where Lublin tops Dublin as the top trip.
